It didn't start with a business plan. It started with a promise to help.

I didn't start Haulix because I dreamed of running a moving company. I started it because I got tired of hearing the same story over and over from people in my own community — hidden fees that showed up out of nowhere, furniture that arrived broken, movers who never showed up at all, and promises that were broken the moment money changed hands. Moving is already one of the most stressful things a person goes through. It shouldn't come with the added fear of being taken advantage of.

At the same time, I started noticing something else. I have neighbors here in Barrington — people who raised their families in this town, who've lived here for decades — who simply needed a hand. Moving a couch. Getting a piece of furniture up the stairs. Preparing for a move they couldn't physically handle on their own anymore. So one day, I just knocked on a door and asked if they needed help. Then I brought a friend along, and we started showing up for our neighbors — no company name, no business plan, just two guys trying to help people we cared about.

That's when it clicked. Barrington didn't have a single moving company that actually called this town home. Not one. So I decided I was going to be the first — not just another moving company passing through, but one that actually belonged here, built by someone who grew up watching this community take care of its own.

Haulix exists because I believe trust shouldn't be the exception in this industry — it should be the standard. Too many people have been burned by moving companies before, and I understand why they're skeptical. My goal isn't just to earn your business. It's to be part of restoring what this industry has lost — one move, one family, one neighbor at a time. And I want that trust to start with me.
